  • By car: from the TF-1 motorway, take exit 74 if you are coming from the airport or exit 75 if you are coming from Los Gigantes. Then follow the signs to Puerto Colón.
  • The most sustainable option ⇒ public transport: the nearest bus stop is San Eugenio. Check the website of Titsa for route information.
  • There are many taxis available, but it is advisable to call them to book. You can contact Adeje Taxis on +34 922 97 92 93.
    • Prices may vary according to season, traffic and taxi company. Below, we provide you with an estimated cost for some common routes to or from Puerto Colón
      • Las Américas - Los Cristianos area: 5-15€.

    • Please note that taxis are not allowed to charge extra when entering Puerto Colón, as it is a marina.

  • There are several public car parks available in the area, including one right next to the marina. The harbour car park costs €1.2 per hour and is open daily from 7.30am to 11.30pm.
  • There are many restaurants and bars along the promenade near Puerto Colón, but their quality can vary. We recommend two options:
    • Tierra Café: for those looking for natural and vegetarian options, with fresh products from the farm.
    • Snack Café Puerto Colón: a café that offers delicious options at reasonable prices. In addition, Mariana prepares excellent desserts.
  • Public toilets are available in the car park below (+- 0.5€).
  • You will also find a wide variety of shops, supermarkets, pharmacies and ATMs in the area around Puerto Colón.
Points of interest
  • Name of nearby beaches: Playa de La Pinta, Playa de Torviscas and Playa de Fañabé.
  • Other points of interest nearby: Hospiten, Quirón Salud, Finca la Caldera to buy fresh fruit and vegetables.

Los Cristianos Harbour

General Information

The Port of Los Cristianos is an official state port used for both commercial and tourist navigation, connecting Tenerife with other islands. It is also a significant port for the local fishing industry.

How to get there

Location: Muelle de Pescadores, Los Cristianos Harbour, 38650 Arona, Santa Cruz de Tenerife

  • By car: from the TF-1 motorway, take exit 72 towards Los Cristianos. Follow the signs to the port.
  • The most sustainable option ⇒ public transport: the closest bus stop to the port is Los Cristianos, one of the bus stops with the most connections in the south of the island. This stop is less than 10 minutes walk from the port. Check the website of Titsa for route information.
  • There are many taxis available, but it is advisable to call them to book. You can contact Arona Taxis on +34 922 747 511.
  • Prices may vary depending on the season, traffic and taxi company. Below, we provide you with an estimated cost for some common routes to or from Los Cristianos Harbour:

    • Bar Deportivo: a restaurant close to the harbour, specialising in roast chicken with excellent value for money.
  • Public toilets are available in the port of Los Cristianos and are free of charge.
  • The port is in the centre of Los Cristianos which has numerous shops, supermarkets, pharmacies and ATMs.

  • If you want to visit other nearby islands, the port of Los Cristianos is the departure point for ferries that take passengers to La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro. Two companies sail between the islands: Naviera Armas and Fred Olsen.
  • It is important to be careful when parking on the streets, as there are many areas with parking restrictions depending on the time of day. It is advisable to read the road signs and follow the parking rules to avoid fines.

Los Gigantes Harbour

It is a marina located on the west coast of Tenerife. It is known for its impressive cliffs and for being a starting point for boat trips and watersports.

Location: Lugar Poblado Marinero, 38683 Acantilados de Los Gigantes, Santa Cruz de Tenerife

    • From the TF-1 motorway, take exit 87 towards TF-46, go down to the end. At the roundabout take the TF-47 and follow the signs to the port of Los Gigantes.
    • Use public transport ⇒ the most sustainable option: the nearest bus stop is Los Gigantes. Check the website of Titsa for route information.

    • Prices may vary depending on the season, traffic and taxi company. Below, we provide you with an estimated cost for some common routes to or from Los Gigantes Harbour:

    Please note that taxis are not allowed to charge extra when entering Los Gigantes harbour, as it is a marina.

    • You will find many restaurants and bars in Los Gigantes. Our recommendation:
      • Casa Edu: a Canarian restaurant a bit far from the harbour but well worth a visit.
    • Public toilets are available in the marina, free of charge.
    • You will also find a wide variety of shops, supermarkets, pharmacies and cash machines in the area around the port of Los Gigantes. There are some well-known shops such as Hiperdino and a pharmacy right next to the port.

    • Nearby beaches: Playa de Los Guíos, Playa Santiago and Playa de La Arena.
    • Natural pools of Los Gigantes
    • Los Gigantes Cliffs: These are steep and vertical rock formations that plunge directly into the Atlantic Ocean, creating a breathtaking sight. The area is rich in marine life, and the cliffs are also home to a wide variety of seabirds and endemic plants, making it a place of significant ecological importance. The Giant Lizard of Tenerife and the Osprey are among the species that inhabit the area. It's important to note that in some areas of the cliffs, making noise is not allowed to avoid disturbing these birds during their breeding period
    • Other points of interest nearby: the isolated village of Masca, Santiago del Teide.
    • Almond Blossom Trail: A route that is undertaken in the months of February and March. During this period, almond trees bloom in all their magnificence, creating a spectacular landscape of white and pink flowers against the green backdrop of the mountains. The trail can be started from Santiago del Teide or Arguayo.

    • Explore the Area: Los Gigantes is surrounded by stunning cliffs and natural landscapes. If you have the time, we recommend exploring the area on foot or by car. Don't miss the views from Mirador de Archipenque! However, please be cautious about leaving belongings in cars at the viewpoints, as thefts are frequent.
    • To visit Masca, it is advisable to take a taxi or go by bus (line 355) from Los Gigantes or Santiago del Teide because there is a very small car park with limited parking time. The canyon hike can be done by reservation on this website: https://www.caminobarrancodemasca.com/en/

    Las Galletas Harbour

    Location: Puerto Deportivo Marina del Sur, Calle el Jable, s/n, 38631 Las Galletas, Santa Cruz de Tenerife

        • From the TF-1 motorway, take exit 69 onto the TF-66 towards Las Galletas. Continue along the TF-66 until you reach the village, the port is on the right.
        • Use public transport ⇒ the most sustainable option: the nearest bus stop is La Paz. You can check the website of Titsa for route information.
        • Taxis are available in the area. You can contact Arona Taxis on +34 922 747 511.

        Prices may vary depending on the season, traffic and the taxi company. Below, we provide you with an estimated cost for some common routes to or from Las Galletas harbour:

          • Airport TFS: 20-25€.
          • Las Américas area: 20-25€.

        • There is a public car park at the port. Parking costs approximately €1 per hour and is open from 9:00 to 20:00. You will also find several public car parks near the port. However, it's important to exercise caution and avoid leaving any valuables in your vehicle.
        • You will find many restaurants and bars in Las Galletas. Our recommendation:
          • El Cordero, in Guargacho, located in a nearby village, is a restaurant specialising in meat and is housed in an old banana plantation. Very nice decoration with animals and a variety of trees.
          • Lili's Garden: a cosy place to enjoy desserts, teas and coffees.
          • La Comedia: quality cafeteria offering breakfast, sandwiches and a variety of dishes.
          • El Bel'Gusto: Belgian tavern on the seafront. Belgian and Canarian food. They also make Brussels waffles.
        • Public toilets are available in the marina, free of charge.
        • You will also find a wide variety of shops, supermarkets, pharmacies and ATMs in the area of Las Galletas.

        • Natural Monument of Montaña de Guaza: This area is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and ecological significance. It is home to various species of flora and fauna endemic to Tenerife.

        What is included in the tours?

        We want to make sure you enjoy an amazing and carefree experience with us, so we've made sure to include everything you need during the tours. Depending on the specific excursion you choose, it may include free pick-up, snacks, meals or food. And when it comes to capturing those unforgettable moments, during some of the activities, the guides may take many pictures. Sometimes these photos are included in the tour price and sometimes they are available for an additional charge. Be sure to check the activity details for more information on what is included or not.

        Do I need to use my own means of transport?

        For some of our tours, we'll pick you up and drop you off like a rock star (when included, you'll see an icon in the description). Enter your pick-up address or hotel name and room number at checkout and we will inform you of availability. Can't find the icon? Please go to the meeting point indicated on your confirmation. If you have any questions about the pick-up or cannot find the driver, you should contact the organiser directly.

        What should I bring for my adventure?

        Pack your adventurous spirit! We'll give you a full list of what to bring when you book, but in general, you'll want to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, apply sunscreen, and bring a hat and warm clothes depending on the season and activity.

        Can I bring my little ones?

        Most of our tours are suitable for the whole family, but minimum age requirements vary depending on the activity. Please check the tour page for full details.

        How long do the activities last?

        It all depends on the activity, but we will give you the estimated duration when you book. It will also appear in the description of the activity. The activities last a maximum of 1 day.

        What if I can't find the activity I'm looking for on your website?

        We are always updating our offer, but if you don't find what you are looking for, let us know! We are always open to suggestions and we can probably customize an activity especially for you. So give us a call!

        What if I have specific dietary needs?

        We understand that some people have specific dietary requirements or restrictions. Just let us know when you book and we will work with the organizer to ensure you have a tasty and satisfying meal (if included).

        Do I need to be physically fit to participate in the activities?

        We offer excursions to suit different levels of fitness and ability. Whether you are an experienced athlete or someone who prefers to be relaxed, we have the perfect activity for you - no matter your level, we want you to enjoy yourself to the fullest!

        What happens if I am late?

        In this case, please call the activity organiser whose number appears on your confirmation ticket and they will do their best to accommodate you. Please note, however, that depending on the activity, the organiser may have to adjust the schedule or change the time or day of your tour.

        Are your excursions safe?

        Your safety is our top priority! We work with legally incorporated companies that have the necessary permits and insurance to operate. We prioritise safety and comply with all necessary regulations. In addition, the guides are trained professionals who know how to handle any situation. We want you to enjoy yourself to the fullest without any worries.

        Can I bring my furry friend?

        Although we love our four-legged pets, most tours do not allow their presence. Call us and we'll let you know if your furry friend can join in the fun.

        How can I book my excursion?

        Booking an excursion on our website is very easy. Simply choose the activity you want, select a date and time that suits you, click on the "Book now" button and fill in the necessary information about yourself and proceed to checkout - done!

        Can I book by phone or email?

        Of course! And if you're planning a last minute trip, you need to book by calling us directly to secure a place.

        How far in advance should I book my tour?

        To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, we ask that you book your excursion online at least 24 hours in advance (unless otherwise specified in the activity description). If you are feeling spontaneous and want to do a last minute tour, just give us a call and we will find a place for you!

        How can I pay for my excursion?

        We accept a variety of payment methods, including credit cards and bank transfers. In case of bank transfer, please note that the booking will be confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Just choose your preferred option when booking and we will take care of the rest.

        Can I book and pay without using electronic payment methods?

        Certainly! We understand that not everyone may be comfortable with online payment methods. As an alternative, we can arrange to meet you in Tenerife and personally deliver your tickets while making the payment directly with you. Please keep in mind that the reservation will be confirmed once payment is made and is subject to availability at that time.

        When will my booking be confirmed?

        When we receive your booking request, we work in the background and coordinate with our suppliers. In case the booking is not confirmed immediately, we will send you an availability confirmation email within the day with instructions on how to proceed with the payment. Once payment has been received, we will send you a booking confirmation email with all the practical information needed for the trip. If we need to adjust the time or date you selected for any reason, we will let you know and if you do not agree to the changes, no problem! You can cancel the tour free of charge.

        Do I need to print my booking confirmation?

        Display your booking confirmation on your phone or tablet. However, for some activities, printed vouchers are mandatory. If this is the case, we will specify it in the activity description.

        What documents and information do I need to provide before booking an excursion with TenerifEco Tours?

        We do not require any special documents to book an excursion (unless specified on the activity), but we do ask for some basic information to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. When booking your tour, we will ask for your name, email address and telephone number (with country code) so that we can confirm your booking and send you any important updates or information about your adventure. We may also ask for your hotel address/name and room number in case of pick-up. Additionally, we may need to be aware of your special requirements or requests, such as dietary restrictions or mobility issues, so that we can customize the experience to suit your needs.

        Can I arrange a private adventure or make a reservation for a group?

        Of course! Just give us a call, send us a Whatsapp message or send us an email and we'll work out the details for your private or group trip (subject to availability).

        Can I get a special offer?

        Yes! If you book multiple tours, we'll offer you discounts! Also, keep an eye out for our seasonal promotions, which will be announced on our social media and website.

        Info about modification and cancellation

        Can I cancel my booking?

        We understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise and plans change. If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible. Depending on the activity and the proximity to the date, there may be cancellation fees, but we will inform you of these transparently at the time of booking. We want to make the process as clear and simple as possible. If you have received an email confirmation of cancellation and we agree to refund you, a refund will be made using the same payment method as your original booking. The amount should be reflected in your account within 5 to 15 working days. If the activity is cancelled by the organiser and you have not received any notification from us, please contact us.

        Can I make changes to my booking after I have confirmed it?

        We know that plans can change, so we make it easy to modify your booking. Just give us a call and we'll work on making the necessary changes. Depending on the activity, there may apply fees or restrictions, but we will do our best to make the process as smooth as possible.

        What happens if Mother Nature decides to ruin my plans?

        Many excursions are weather dependent. If the weather does not cooperate, we will contact you to inform you of your options. We can reschedule the activity, offer an alternative or provide a full refund.

        Can I bring my own reusable water bottle on excursions?

        Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it. We try to reduce waste wherever possible, so bring your own reusable water bottle. Also, staying hydrated is key to making the most of our excursions. Please note that in certain areas of Tenerife tap water is not recommended: in some areas, tap water may contain minerals, sediments or flavours that may not be suitable for direct consumption or cooking. These impurities can affect the taste and quality of the water, and in certain cases, can have adverse health effects if consumed in significant quantities and over a prolonged period of time.
